A few weeks back we rewatched the Equalizer movies featuring Denzel Washington. They’re exactly the movies they set out to be, don’t judge me, we love them.
Last time around I remember liking the challenge the movie has for the main character to finish reading the 100 Books everyone should read in their lifetime. He wanted to finish them all as a tribute to his late wife, it had been her task that she never quite finished.
Anyway this time around I decided I would embark on the same task, simply because it’s there. It’s something to do that shall cause me no harm, and in theory no one else as well. My wife wants to do it also.
So in keeping with the movie, I’ve ordered two hardback versions of the first two books in the list, or my first two anyway and shall proceed on.
- 1984 by George Orwell
- A Doll’s House by Henrik Ibsen
I’m going to try and put down my thoughts about them as I go, not as a review at the end when I try to summarise it but more any thoughts I might have as I go along.
we’ll see how long this takes 🙂
